Generate Wage Type Catalogue (FLEX)

Note:

If you are implementing Flexible Benefits for Great Britain (GB FlexBens), SAP recommends that you execute this IMG step to generate your customer wage types using the GB FlexBens wage type group FBN0. If you choose this option, you do NOT need to execute the subsequent International Benefits IMG step Wage Type Catalogue.

However, if you wish to generate your customer wage types from the International Benefits wage type group BEN0, you should NOT execute this IMG step, but instead customise your GB FlexBens wage types by executing the subsequent IMG step Wage Type Catalogue.

In this step, you generate the customer wage types required for processing GB FlexBens plans by copying the model wage types provided in the standard SAP System.

Only wage types relevant to GB FlexBens plans are available for copying in this step. The copies of model wage types have the same characteristics as the model wage types with regard to processing in dialog, as well as in Payroll. However, you can change these characteristics to meet your own requirements.

1. Only use the name range reserved for your customer wage types (wage types that begin with a number).

2. Do not copy wage types to the area reserved for SAP model wage types (those that begin with a letter or a symbol).

  1. Execute this IMG step, and choose Copywhen prompted by the system to select your method of maintenance.
  2. Select country Great Britainwhen prompted by the system.
  3. Generate copies of the model wage types for benefit plans.
For detailed information about setting up customer wage types, choose Help-> Application Help in the Copy Wage Type view or see the documentation Wage Type Concept in the Payroll Data section of the Personnel Administration IMG.
  1. Check whether the copied wage types meet your requirements and, if necessary, make changes to the wage type characteristics.
You do this in the Personnel Administration IMG, in the step Payroll Data -> Basic Pay -> Wage Types-> Check Wage Type Catalog -> Check Wage Type Characteristics.
