SAP E-Book

This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in Flexible Benefits for Great Britain (PA-BN-FB-GB). This BAdI enables you to implement your own rules regarding cost calculation when you configure Holiday Plans.

You need to configure cost rules to calculate the daily or hourly cost of your Holiday Plan in the Benefits Administration IMG step Define Cost Rules. If your required calculation formula is too complicated to configure using the above IMG step, the SAP-delivered Business Add-In (BAdI) PFBN0006 allows you to implement your own rule for calculation of daily or hourly costs of your employees' Holiday Plan selections.

This BAdI is called each time a Holiday Plan cost is calculated in the GB FlexBens system. For example:

  • When a user wishes to display the plan maintenance detail screen generated using transaction HRFBN0001 and ESS transactions PZ63, PZ64, and so on.
  • When a user wishes to display a cost summary from the plan cost summary screen using transaction HRFBN0001 and ESS transactions PZ63, PZ64, and so on.

  • There is no standard implementation delivered for this BAdI.
  • As there is no standard implementation for this BAdI, it is not possibleto activate it without modification.
  • This BAdI is not filter-dependent.
  • This BAdI is not reusable.

Activities

After you call the IMG activity, the system displays a dialog box where you enter a name for the implementation.

If implementations of this Business Add-In have already been created, the system displays them in a dialog box. You then choose one of them by choosing Create, and continue as follows:

  1. In the dialog box, enter a name for the implementation of the Add-In and choose Create.
The system displays the initial screen for creating Business Add-In implementations.
  1. On this screen, enter a short description for you implementation in the Implementation Short Text field.
  2. If you choose the Interface tab, you will notice that the system has filled in the Name of the Implementing Class field automatically, by assigning a class name based on the name of your implementation.
  3. Save your entries and assign the Add-In to a package.
  4. To edit a method, double-click its name.
  5. Enter your implementation code between the method ~. aund endmethod. statements.
  6. Save and activate your code. Navigate back to the Change Implementation screen.
Note: You can also create an implementation for an Add-In and not activate it until later. If you want to do this, do not carry out the following step:
  1. Choose Activate.
When the application program is executed, the system carries out the code in the method you wrote.

Your organisation wishes to apply its own rule for the calculation of Holiday Plan daily costs. You therefore implement (BAdI) PFBN0006 to implement your own calculation of daily costs. The system then uses the values produced by this BAdI calculate the Employee and Employer costs for an employee's Holiday Plan selection.
