In this Customizing activity, you assign a period type to a logical report type.

For example, report type RSV1 is submitted quarterly; in the reporting period field for report type RSV1, you specify Q.

To assign a period type to a report type:

  1. Specify the report type.
  2. Specify the reporting calculation period (period which the system uses to collect data) and reporting period (reporting frequency).
  3. If required, enable automatic processing for the reporting session.
