In this Customizing activity, you define the types of reporting session that are valid for a report type (or a combination of report type and reporting area). You define periods for the reporting session (as defined by report type and reporting area) in which these types are valid.

For sessions that you do not override, periods are determined in Customizing activity Assign Report Type Periods using the standard time intervals month, quarter, and year.

  • The possible values for period index and year are inherited from the calendar type assigned to report type and validated against it.
  • Session type should be set to a value that is the same as in the previous entry (within same period index/year with an end date equal to the start date of the current entry - 1 day) (if it does not allow transition) or one of the session types that allows transition (see Customizing activity Define Options for Reporting Session Type). For this, the validation of values in field with session type are performed using a list of all possible session types for the report type/reporting area. For the first entry within the period index/year, any type of session can be selected from the permitted values.
  • Start date is automatically set as the previous session period end date + 1 day and should not be changed. For the first entry, this date should be set as the start date of the calendar period.
  • If a session type allows the session end date to be flexible, you can change the end date of the session period in current line. If a session type does not allow non-default session period, the sessions follows another session type in the same period/index that occupies the rest of the calendar period.
  • If a session type does not allow in the session period to be flexible, the default period should be set and set to be unchangeable.

You start using RMS after the start of 2017, that is, reports from the start of the year have already been submitted to the fiscal authorities. In this case, it is necessary to obtain in RMS a copy of the data that was sent as a file.

You make the following settings in this Customizing activity:

  • Period,,:,,1
  • Year:,,,,2017
  • Type:,,,,MIG0 (Migration session)
  • Start Date:,,01.01.2017
  • End Date:,, - 1 day
