In this Customizing activity, you assign reporting areas to organizational keys.

To assign reporting areas to organizational keys:

  1. In Organization Grouping Reason for Report Type:

  1. Select the organization definition.
  • Define values for the Organization Type and Data Type fields.

  • If Organization Management integration is inactive, set the Feature of Organization to define the organizational assignment for the person. For values, you can set features 33OKT, 33ONM, or any other feature based on the structures PRUMY or PRUNM.

  • In Reference Report Type, specify a reference report type:
    As a result, in the assignment of organization data to a reporting area, the report organizational settings are inherited from the reference report type during report scheduling (and in other report-related activities). For example, it is possible to assign report name CIA as a reference report type to an SICC report.

  1. In Assignment of Organization Data to Reporting Area:
    1. Select the reporting area.
    2. Specify the start and end dates to define the period during which the assignment is valid.
    3. Specify a legal person.
    4. Specify a value for the object ID.

Note: The checkbox Not in RMS is automatically selected and cannot be changed.

In Assignment of Subordinate Units to Reporting Area, you can enter additional organizations to create a compound reporting area. Such reporting areas can be used for the purpose of reporting in cases where organization structures or legal structures cannot represent your organization from a reporting perspective. Subordinate units of a reporting area cannot be included in other reporting areas for the same report type as main or subordinate entries.

Note: Compound reporting areas are permitted only for a limited subset of report types. The system does not allow you to create subordinate reporting areas for report types that do not permit this.
