In this Customizing activity, you define the Joint Commission settings that apply for Belgium.

Various Customizing views and system features use the Joint Commission number to determine default or applicable employee values. Ultimately, Joint Commission numbers are used for social insurance (SI) and payroll purposes, and are reported to the Belgian authorities.

The following table provides an example of a Joint Commission with sub-classifications.

Joint Comm. No. Description   Level
113 Ceramics   High-level
113.01 Faience, porcelain & san. install. PSC   Sub-commission
113.02 Ceramic surfaces & floor tiles PSC   Sub-commission
113.03 Fireproof goods PSC   Sub-commission

In this example, there is one Joint Commission (113) and three subcommissions (113.01 - 113.03).

Joint Commissions can only be changed if statutory changes occur, or if it is necessary to divide commissions into sub-commissions. In the event of a statutory change, you should update the payroll program accordingly.

In this Customizing activity, you define values as follows:

  • Define the list of valid Joint Commission numbers
Using the Joint Commissions (B) (V_T5B63) view, you can define the list of valid, statutory values for Joint Commissions. A standard list of Joint Commissions is available from the Belgian authorities.
  • Define the default Joint Commission number in the Contract Elements (0016) infotype
The Default Joint Commission Numbers (BEGPC) feature can be used to default the Joint Commission number in the Contract elements (0016) infotype. This feature is based on organizational data. If the feature does not determine a value, then the value is determined from the Employee Groups/Subgroups (B) (T5B9G) table. Note that the Joint Commission number determined by the feature always has priority.
  • Define the default Joint Commission number for an employee group/subgroup
Using the Employee groups/subgroups (B)(V_T5B9G) view, you can define the default Joint Commission number for each combination of employee group/subgroup; these values then default in the Contract elements (0016) infotype.
  • Default weekly working hours according to the Joint Commission number
The Default Hours per Week (BEUWG) feature can be used to default the weekly working hours.
This feature is used if no default value has been defined in the Employee groups/subgroups (B)(V_T5B9G) view.
  • Default number contractual months per year
You use the Default Contract Regime (BREGM) feature to default the number of contractual months per year.

Joint Commissions can also found in the Contribution for financing groups with risks (T5BV9) table, which is modified via Customizing activity Parameter settings.
