In this step you define the plant sections which have been assigned to you from the SUVA. You check which plant sections must be available for which UVG groupings, and you maintain the contribution rates for occupational accident, non-occupational accident and supplementary NBU insurances.

Basically, two preconditions must be fulfilled for the calcuation of UVG contributions:

  • In infotype social insurance (0036) you have assigned the employee to an internal plant section - office or plant.
  • The employee belongs, on account of his organizational data to a valid UVG/NBUZ payroll unit, which in turn is assigned to a UVG grouping. Different UVG groupings correspond with various SUVA-defined danger categories.

Several UVG/NBUZ payroll units are only necessary if, according to the Bonus-Malus principle, employees within the same internal plant section (for example in the plant) are subject to differing levels of danger risk, and are thereby subject to varying contribution levels.

You can find further information on payroll units in the IMG step Maintain payroll units.

You have employees in personnel subareas A and B. They work in the same plant sections, although employees in plant B are exposed to greater risk of accidents than those in plant A. A higher claims class applies therefore to employees in plant B. You set up this constellation using several UVG/NBUZ payroll units, which in turn have differing UVG groupings as an attribute. The system uses this setup to establish the percentages for the deduction of each employee's insurance contributions.

In the detail screen enter the key for the new SUVA/UVG plant section. Then maintain the text for the new SUVA plant section in the overview screen.

In the detail screen you enter the deductible percentage for the employee (according to sex) and/or for the employer.

According to SUVA regulat ions, there are only two types of internal plant section: A (plant) and Z (office). The employee is assigned to an internal plant section in the master data.

Independently from the SUVA regulations, you can now assign varying contribution rates for employees within an interal plant section using payroll units. This enables you, for example, to stipulate different conditions for executives and other employees.
