The system can not read values derived from infotype fields, directly from the infotype data.

You want to display the age of an employee as extra information on the HR master data sheet.
You define the following symbols when you assign the symbol AGE to the infotype value AG:

  • AGE ,,= age with 1 decimal place

  • AGE_YR,,= age in years (rounded down)

  • AGE_MN,,= months (1 -> 11)

You generate the infotype value text as field name AGE_SLL.

  1. In the Arrange Work Area dialog box, enter the master data sheet identification code that you want to process.
  2. Assign a symbol name to the infotype value.
  3. Create the corresponding text element where you want the symbol to be displayed.
(In the enhanced form in the standard system, the derived infotype value Age is displayed in the global window in Personal Data. Therefore, no text element is created at this point.)
  1. Save your entries.

A pre-set infotype values selection menu is located in the standard system. It relates to the values age, basic pay, entry date and date of leaving. If you use the entry and leaving symbols, the determination of each date is controlled by the features Entry and Leaving.

You determine which symbols you generate with the HR Master Data Sheet report RPLSTIC0.

The entry symbol (date of entry) can also be used in the step Date Specification. If you assign this symbol several times, the date output is random.
