SAP E-Book

In the book "Corporate Structure", you defined employee groups and employee subgroups. In this step, you must assign one of the following statuses to those employee groups and employee subgroups.

  • Activity status
  • Employment status
  • Education and training status
  • Salaried employee category

These statuses are used for national and international reporting for selecting and/or grouping together of employee data or they are used to represent national plausibilities.

Get an overview of the distinguishing criteria wanted for evaluating employee groups and subgroups.

For the sample entries, SAP has assigned statuses that adhere to national regulations; this means that you only have to take your own reporting into consideration.

The meanings of the statuses are predefined and may not be changed (see field documentation).

Use the SAP sample entries.

  1. Check your employee groups and subgroups in view of these statuses.
  2. If necessary, change existing statuses for your employee groups and subgroups.

You might find that you need more specific or less specific distinctions between your employee groups and subgroups than you first thought.

It is possible for you to revise your employee groups and subgroups at any time. However, please note, that these other additional characteristics for employee groups and subgroups might, in turn, need to be maintained or added elsewhere in this implementation guide.
