OHIF03641 - Reason for payment

Under French law, all employee entitlements to profit sharing are frozen for a certain amount of time after profit sharing commences (frozen period).
Entitlements are normally frozen for a statutory five-year period. In certain cases, this period may be reduced to three years or extended to eight years.

French law also provides for the prior release of profit sharing in certain instances.

The statutory rulings for releasing profit-sharing are included in the standard SAP system and coded as follows:

• Ruling O1 is used for the release of entitlements when the statutory frozen period has elapsed.

• Rulings 02 - 11 are used for prior release of entitlements.
