OHIGBPBSTPS0202 - Assign unique LEA number / Area code

If you store in your system the data which will be submitted in a unique TPS Annual Return for an unique originator, enter the originator's LEA number (area code for non-LEA establishments) in this activity.

If the number entered in this activity exists in table 'TPS: LEA numbers and names '(T5GPBST_LEA) than it will be considered that the return is originated by a LEA establishment. The LEA Name entered in the table T5GPBST_LEA will be returned as Originator's title on TPS Annual Return.

If the number entered in this activity does not exist in table T5GPBST_LEA than it will be considered that the return is originated by a non-LEA establishment and the number corresponds to an area code. The originator's title will be derived from field 'Name 2' of table 'Personnel Areas' (T500P). In this case all personnel numebrs selected for the generation of Teachers' Pensions Annual return should belong to 1 Personnel Area.
