SAP E-Book

In this step you will define the hierarchy of levels inside a given pay scale group.
In other words, you will set up the subsequent level of any given level inside a group.

Assume the following levels are available for group G01.
Group G01
Available levels
================
1A, 1B, 2A, and 2B

A possible level hierarchy could be defined as follows:
Group G01
Level Subsequent Level
===== ================
1A 2A
2A 1B
1B 2B
2B 2B

None.

The entries in the SAP/R3 standard delivery system are only samples.

When defining the level hierarchy, you must indicate the first level in the group by marking the corresponding checkbox.
All other levels must have their corresponding checkboxes left unmarked.

The last level in the group must be indicated by setting level and subsequent level to the same value (refer to the example above).

  1. Check the SAP sample entries.
  2. Delete entries that are not required.
  3. Create new entries according to your requirements.
