OHIKZMDPA_IT0290_001 - Define Document Types

In this Customizing activity, you can define new document types for your employees. You create these document types as subtypes of the Documents and Certificates infotype (infotype 0290).
The standard system contains the main document types, such as identity cards and passports.
Do not delete the document types shipped as standard.
To create new document types, proceed as follows:
- Enter the infotype for which you want to create new subtypes.
- Enter your required document types by entering a subtype code that begins with 9.

In transaction SE51, create a new subscreen for each new subtype.
Make sure that you use the customer namespace for the new screens. - Make the required settings to include the new screen in the infotype in the Customizing activity Hide or View Infotype Screen Control.
