OHIKZRP_PA_ORD_001 - Assign Subtypes in Personnel Orders Infotype to Doc. Types

In this Customizing activity, you determine in which subtype in the Personnel Orders (0298) infotype the system stores data for a particular type of document.

If required, you can use multiple subtypes, which you customize to meet customer-specific requirements, to store data for a given type of document.

Note: The AutoNumber function is not available during maintenance (in transaction PA30) for Personnel Orders with subtypes assigned to Document Types 2 and 3.

You have created the subtypes that you require in your organization.

1. Assign a subtype to each document type that you require in your organization.
2. For each combination of subtype and document type, determine whether you want the system to generate a number and date for each record in the Personnel Orders (0298) infotype automatically.
   The automatic numbering function applies when you create records in background mode.

To store data specific to the single personnel order T-6, which you create when your employees take vacation, you create a separate subtype called Vacation Order. This subtype enables you to store additional data about personnel orders for vacation, without needing to store that data in all personnel orders that you generate.
