In this Customizing activity, you set the mode for checking the address of a person in the Addresses (0006) infotype, depending on the subtype number.

The following modes are available for performing verification of addresses stored in the address data tables:

  • Current and Historical Data – Address contains current or historical (that is, not current) information
  • Current Data Only – Address contains only current information
  • Not Checked – Checking of address is not performed

If the checking mode is not set (that is, it is blank), then this is equivalent to Current Data Only.

If the check fails, a message of type W is displayed. The message type can be changed in Customizing activity Set Message Control for Address Data.
