In this IMG activity, you enter the codes for long service that you enter on the Working Conditions tab page in the Employment Book infotype (infotype 0294).

You can enter up to three parameters for each long service code. When you create a long service code, you can determine if you can enter parameters to record additional information about a particular activity or type of job, such as the length of time an employee performs the activity or type of job.

You assign the required parameter (see the Preconditions section below) to the parameter number.

If you want to enter parameters for long service codes (for example, to document the rate a medical worker received), you must have created parameters in the IMG activity Enter Parameter Descriptions for Seniority.

The standard system does not contain any long service codes.

Enter the required codes for long service. For each long service code, you determine if you can enter up to three parameters.

One of your employees is a parachute jumper who has made 25 jumps.

You enter Parachutist as the long service code and create a parameter for the number of jumps he or she makes (Jumps).
You assign the required parameter (Jumps) to parameter number three.

In the maintenance transaction for the Employment Book infotype, you enter 25 in the field for long service parameter three.
