In this Customizing activity, you define settings for DMS documents. For the purposes of the Attachment Service, only some DMS features are used. For more information about document settings, see the documentation for the transaction.
1. Create link descriptions
Select Maintain object link descriptions and choose New Entries. Fill in the following fields:

Note: Create descriptions for all the languages in which you want to use the DMS.
2.,,Define document types
Select Define document types and choose New Entries. Fill in the following fields:

| Internal Number Range | <R1> | You can create a new, or use an existing, Internal Number Range for object DOKUMENT (click Number Ranges to maintain ranges). |
| External Number Range | <R2> | You can create a new, or use an existing, External Number Range for object DOKUMENT (click Number Ranges to maintain ranges). |
| Number Exit | Use default value. Click Default to get the default value get | |
| Vers. No. Incr. | 0 |
Note: Ensure that number ranges are not transported automatically.
3. Define object links
Select Define document types -> Define object links. Fill in the following fields:
