In this IMG activity, you determine if the reports that evaluate absences for reporting purposes contain absence data on the basis of the Absences infotype (2001), or if the reports evaluate absences using quota types that you store in the Absence Quotas infotype (2006). If you want to use more than one quota type for a given period of absence, you customize the two features in this IMG activity.
The reports for the following output forms use absence or quota data:
- T-2
- T-6(a)
- T-60
- T-54a
- Configure absence data
Enter the appropriate third character depending on whether you want the report to use data about the absence type (1) or the quota data(2). If you want the reports to use absence data on the basis of quota types, configure the attendance types in the next step, Assign Attendance Types to Quota Types.
- Assign attendance types to quota types
For each quota type that you use in your company, enter the corresponding absence types that you have assigned to this quota type.
One of your employees takes vacation from January 15 to February 02.
Your employee works in the north of Russia and is therefore entitled to additional paid vacation. The employee's quota for basic paid leave covers part of the vacation, and the quota for additional vacation covers the remainder of the period of vacation.
To calculate the vacation using only one period of absence in the system, you assign the absence type for basic paid leave to the quota type for basic paid leave and the absence type for additional vacation to the quota type for additional vacation.
This assignment enables the system to store the correct starting date for the whole period of absence, and therefore to calculate the correct average amounts for vacation pay.
