Use the Calculate seniority rights activity to define the limit in which the thirtieths of a statutory and administrative position count to 100% for seniority calculation.

This determination is based on a contingent of thirtieths.

You have configured the valuation models used by your calculation formula.

Refer to the Configuring seniority calculation activity for explanations and procedures concerning this configuration.

Fill in each configuration of the table according to the seniority calculation formula you want to apply:

  • Formula: Indicate the four-digit code designating the specific formula used.
  • Start dateand End date: add the entry date in application of your seniority rights calculation for this specific formula. Enter 31.12.9999for the end date.
  • Thirtieths contingent: enter the thirtieths contingent on which your calculation formula depends. This contingent corresponds to the total number of thirtieths to be taken into account when calculating seniority.

Application context:

  • Calculation of seniority rights relating to parental leave (CP) and availability to raise a child under 12 (DPEE).
  • Thirtieths contingent, available for an agent's entire career: 1800.
  • Formula: FPCD.
Case 1: the number of thirtieths does not exceed the 1800 contingent

During their career, the agent changes job and is accepted within a new organization. During their previous assignment, the agent accumulated a total of 260 thirtieths of seniority rights counting at 100% during various periods of parental leave (entered in infotype 0552).

During their current assignment, the agent takes 35 thirtieths of DPEE (entered in infotype 0429).

The formula applied to determine whether the 35 thirtieths taken can be included in the calculation of seniority rights is shown below:

  • history of thirtieths + current number of thirtieths = total amount of thirtieths
  • total amount of thirtieths (capped at 1800): 260 + 35 = 295 thirtieths.

The total amount of thirtieths taken by the agent does not reach the 1800 limit, the 35 thirtieths taken during the new assignment count in the calculation of seniority.

Case 2: the number of thirtieths exceeds the contingent

The agent accumulated a total of 260 thirties during their previous assignment. These thirtieths count for 100% in the calculation of seniority rights and consist of:

  • 250 thirtieths of parental leave.
  • 10 thirtieths of leave to raise a child under 12 years old.

On their new assignment, the agent takes a total of 2000 additional thirtieths:

  • 260 + 2000 = 2260 thirtieths
  • 2260 - 1800 = 460 excess thirtieths.
  • Of the 2000 new thirtieths taken by the agent, only 1540 (2000 - 460) count in the calculation of seniority, since: 1540+ 260 = 1800.

Any thirtieth taken beyond the 1800 contingent is not counted when calculating seniority.

In this case, the formula applied is the FPCD (Period for CP and DP raising a child)
