Define Time Constraint Classes

Use this Customizing activity to specify time constraint classes for Time Management infotypes (2001 to 2013).

The time constraint class is used to specify collision reactions in Time Management infotypes. You use a time constraint class to define rules for collision checks between individual subtypes.

Note: For the infotypes 2005, 2010, 2011, and 2013, you can only use the time constraint class 00 (SAP standard).

The defined time constraint classes are used in Customizing, under Specify Reactions to Overlapping Time Infotypes. They serve as a check table for customizing infotypes.

Group subtypes of an infotype (attendances/absences, attendance/absence quotas, availability type, and substitution type) in a time constraint class to trigger the same time constraint reaction for all subtypes of this infotype.

In the standard system, the absence types Illness with Certificate, Health Spa Stay, and Accident at Work are grouped in time constraint class 01. The absence types Leave, Bridge Day, and Time in Lieu of Flextime are grouped in time constraint class 02.
