This step explains how to use a feature to define:

  • the text, which is composed of a standard text module and the employee's or applicant's data
  • the mail recipients
  • the send attributes of the mail
  • the processing possible from the mail

In the Dynamic actions, you have specified that a mail is to be sent when an infotpye is changed. You have also named a feature which can be defined in this step.

The infotyspe Communication (0105) has been created for employees who want to be informed when their master data changes by mail.

In the standard SAP system, feature M0001 is set up for field SACHP (Personnel administrator for employee master data or personnel officer for applicant master data) for infotype 0001 (Organizational Assignment).
In feature M0001 an example is delivered for master data for both employees and applicants.
By way of an example, let us consider the feature specifications for employee master data, i.e. TCLAS=A. When infotype 0001 (Organizational Assignment) changes for an employee, the text MAIL_FOR_I0001_A is used as the standard text. The mail is sent to the HR master data administrator, the payroll administrator and the time management adminstrator. The employee whose master data has changed, should also receive a mail. The employee's mail address is stored in the infotype Communitcation (0105) in subtype 0001. The mail will be stored in the senders outbox. You can enter additional recipients or a distribution list in the following features:

  • RCIEV
  • RCOLD
  • RCNEW

Use feature M0001 as a template for copying.

Create features for all names to which you have assigned the value M in the dynamic actions field A of the Variable function part field.

Caution
Since it is possible to access other features in the features you are defining, you may have to change or create these features as well.

You will find additional information on feature M0001 in the feature maintaince which can be accessed by calling up feature M0001 and choosing 'Documentation'. Please also refer to the general documentation on maintaining features which can be found in the manual "Tools" in the SAP library under "Personnel Administration and Payroll".
