In this Customizing activity, you create all of the applications that participate in the veto check. You run the veto check during the destruction of infotype and subtype data, the deletion of personnel numbers in Personnel Administration, and the destruction of relationships for the person in personnel planning. You register each participating application with the each of the function modules that run the veto check. The function modules are called during the runtime of the delete reports for data destruction and the deletion of personnel numbers.

Note
Application-specific prerequisites exist for certain applications, such as special authorizations for accessing the tables of the application.

To prevent infotype and subtype data being destroyed or personnel numbers being deleted, configure the following settings under Function Modules for Check:

  • Participating Applications
Enter an ID and, if required, a description for each application that participates in the veto check.
  • Function Modules for Check
Register the function modules to be used for each application in the corresponding scenario:
  • Assign an alphanumeric ID to each entry so as to differentiate between the entries in each scenario.

  • Specify the type of veto check (For Data Destruction or For Deleting Personnel Numbers) for which the function module is intended.

  • You specify the order in which the function modules are called for the veto with a sequence number.

  • You register the function modules for the veto check type For Data Destruction on the level of infotype and subtype combinations. You need to do this for performance reasons so that the veto function modules do not have to be called in all of the delete reports for data destruction.

  • You enter the name of the function module for the veto check.

To prevent relationships being destroyed, configure the following settings under Function Modules for Check (HRPD_PREL):

  • Participating Applications
Enter an ID and, if required, a description for each application that participates in the veto check.
  • Function Modules for Check (HRPD_PREL)
Register the function modules to be used for each application in the corresponding scenario:
  • Assign an alphanumeric ID to each entry so as to differentiate between the entries in each scenario.

  • You specify the order in which the function modules are called for the veto with a sequence number.

  • You specify the relationship direction and the key for the relationship between employee and object.

  • You specify the type of the related object.

  • You enter the name of the function module for the veto check.

In the relevant software component of your application, you have entered the name of the required function modules for the veto check for the application cases (data destruction and deletion of personnel numbers) as well as the destruction of data for relationships.

  1. Specify all of the applications that will take part in the veto check. Ensure that you create the application in the customer namespace.
  2. For each application, enter the function modules for the corresponding scenario.
