OHPKFI004 - Define Fund Modifiers

This activity enables you to define fund modifiers.

Fund modifiers are used to control the posting characteristics of value types. By defining different fund modifiers, you can ensure that the posting characteristics of value types are identical for several pension funds.

You have accessed the IMG for pension funds and chosen Posting to Accounting-> Define Feature Determinationto specify the feature used to determine the fund modifier. In the standard system, feature PFDF2 is used to assign a fund modifier to a pension fund.

1. Call the activity. In the dialog box, enter the required country grouping and application PF.
2. In change mode, choose New Entries.
3. Define a fund modifier and the posting characteristics of value types for this modifier.
4. Save your entries.

You have defined two pension funds, 0001 and 0002. You use the same value types in both pension funds, for example for advances. However, the value types for contributions are different in both funds.

In this situation, you must define three modifiers: 0000, 0001, and 0002. You use fund modifier 0000 to group all of the value types together that are used in both funds with regard to their posting characteristics. Special value types are grouped together using modifiers 0001 and/or 0002.
