In this Customizing activity, you make the necessary settings to enable the Form 1042-S Printing(RPFORMU0PBS) report to use the subtype created in the Communication (0105) infotype. You create subtype for the Communication(0105) infotype to address additional data to your Form 1042-S.

To create a subtype in the Communication(0105) infotype, you should perform the following steps:

  • 1 - Create Form 1042-S additional data subtype in IT0105
  • 2 - Set Form 1042-S additional data subtype

Step 1

1. Choose New Entries

2. Define the Subtype name (Example: 9U42)

Note:

To enable the RPFORMU0PBSreport to use the subtype created in this Customizing activity, the Recipient Type for Communication Type(T591C) table must have Subtype (Example: 9U42) with four digits. Additionally, it is mandatory to use the first digit with value '9'.

3. In the Name column, define the subtype name (Example: Form 1042-S additional data)

4.Choose a Tech.commoption

5. Check the Long_IDcolumn

6. In the Time constraint column, set Record may include gaps, can exist more than once

7. Save your entries

Step 2

1. Select the Country Grouping '10'

2. Choose New Entries.

3. Go to Define HR Attribute Groups tab and choose New entries.

4. Insert the new group as shown below:

  • HR Attribute Group: create the entry GR_1042S
  • HR Attribute Group Description: create the entry " Form 1042-S additional data subtype for IT0105"
  • HR Attribute: CL_1042S_SUBTY
  • Description for HR Attribute: create the entry ''Form 1042-S additional data subtype for IT0105''
  • Customizable Value of HR Attribute: '*'.

5. Save your entries.

Select your newly created HR Attribute Group and in the Define HR Attribute Values tab:

1. Choose New Entries

2. Insert the new group as shown below:

  • HR Attribute:AT_SUBTY_1042S
  • Description for HR Attribute:AT_SUBTY_1042S
  • Startand End Date
  • Customizable Value of HR Attribute: This is the value that the report will enter when printing your PDF forms. Make an entry, for example, 9U42.

3. Save your entries.
