OHPSUSSICK01 - Create and Maintain Absence Pools

In this step, you create new absence pools. You have to decide if you are going to store hours in the pool or amounts.

  1. Execute this step of the Implementation Guide.
  2. On the subsequent screen, if additional absence pools are to be created, then select New entries.
  3. For each pool to be created or maintained, enter the following data:
  • under Pool ID, enter a four-character alphanumeric designation.

  • under Pool Name, enter a descriptive name of your choosing.

  • under Pool type, you choose between hour pool or amount pool.

  • under Administrator, enter the name of the individual who is the administrator of the absence pool for bookkeeping purposes.

  • you may leave ESG(Employee Subgroup Grouping), PSG (Employee Subarea Grouping), AQTyp(Absence Quota Types) empty only if you are using leave transfer program, i.e. donation from one employee to another employee. If you want to use absence pools, you have to set up the appropriate absence quota type to the pool.

  1. Once each pool has been maintained, select Save and proceed with the next IMG step.

When you have established a pool as a specific type (hour or amount) it is not possible to change the pool type later on. A change of a pool type is related to the loss of data.
