In this IMG activity, you can enable major product code and entity type for major portion pricing (index based price) to be used in MMS reporting for your company.
The MMS (Minerals Management Service) has its own sales type codes that are used to describe various reporting situations (such as: royalty in kind, arm's length, etc.). One such case is to use OINX (Oil based Index) when reporting product that use major portion price and not grossproceeds price for valuation. Here, you can define which products and entity type represent major portion price for your company.
If enabled for a product and owner entity type, MMS-2014 report will report the sales type code based on the contract actually used in settlement valuation which may not necessarily be the main contract.
Note that all the products are disabled as default for major portion pricing. If a product needs to be enabled for federal and indian owner, separate entries have to be created.

In this activity, on the Display View "Product Code and Entity Type for Major Portion Pricing Table": Overview screen, you can view the list of product code and entity type which are lready maintained. To enable a new product code/entity type, select Change/Display, and then New Entries. The enable checkbox has to be selected to enable the product code/entity type combination.
Note that when you select New Entries, the entries will appear in white, indicating that you can maintain them. However, you can only maintain the new entries where combination of product code, entity type and effective from date is not already present.
Make your entries and then select Save.
