In this Customizing activity, you specify whether the system includes short-time work schedules in full-day absences. To do this, you edit the feature AKUGA.

The feature does not take effect until you have modified the payroll schema (see Modify Payroll Schema for Short-Time Work).

  • The return value 'X' means that the system retains the work schedule for short-term work. This work schedule is defined in the Substitutions (2003) infotype.
  • If the return value is initial, the system deactivates the short-term work schedule. In this case, the original work schedule in the Planned Working Time (0007) infotype applies.

You can use absence types or valuation rules, for example, as decision criteria.

An employee works 5 hours instead of 8 hours per day during short-time work. If he or she takes a day's leave during short-time work (absence type A), the day should be counted as 8 hours. In contrast, if he or she falls ill during short-time work (absence type B), the day should be counted as only 5 hours.

In feature AKUGA, you return the value 'X' for absence type B, but for all other absence types (including A), you return the initial value.
