SAP E-Book

In this activity, you define the duration of the notice period for the calculation of flat-rate side charge bonuses.

To this end, in the Protection Period for Flat-Rate Side Charge Bonuses (APNFR) feature, you define the duration of the notice period (permitted FRSCB-relevant absence duration) and whether days off also count for the notice period.

The following notice periods are common:

  • Absence = 1 full calendar month plus 1 day
  • Absence = exactly 1 full calendar month

In the standard SAP system, 1 full calendar month plus 1 day is defined as the notice period for feature APNFR.

  1. Call the activity.
  2. Create additional nodes in the feature in accordance with your requirements.
  3. Define the required values for the nodes and the return values for the feature as follows:
  • If you want the notice period to be 1 calendar month plus 1 day and days off to also count as absence (notice period), define 1/J as the return value.

  • If you want the notice period to be exactly 1 calendar month and days off to also count as absence (notice period), define 0/J as the return value.

  • If you want the notice period to be 1 calendar month plus 1 day and days off to not count as absence (notice period), define 1/N as the return value.

  • If you want the notice period to be exactly 1 calendar month and days off to not count as absence (notice period), define 0/N as the return value.

  1. Save your entries.

May 30 and 31 fall on a weekend and are therefore not working days. The employee is sick from April 30 to May 29 and therefore does not come back to work in May.

If days off count for the notice period, the flat-rate side charge bonuses will be discontinued in June.

If days off do not count for the notice period, the flat-rate side charge bonuses will be continue to be paid.
