SAP E-Book

In this step, you configure the maximum and minimum contribution bases and define the rounding types for these contribution limits as well as the amount of the contribution.

In view V_T5APBS18 (Maximum and Minimum Contribution Bases), you define for each contribution and each contribution amount whether and which maximum and minimum contribution base is to be applied. If you do not specify a constant for the maximum or minimum contribution base, the SAP system does not perform capping or an increase. If, on the other hand, the system is to apply a maximum or minimum contribution base, specify the name of the corresponding constant. The constant must be entered in the view V_T511K (Payroll Parameters).

The SAP system can apply the assessment thresholds both daily and monthly. If the SAP system is to apply the constant monthly, set the indicator Monthly AT in the view V_T5APBS18. It is not possible to switch between the daily and monthly application within a month. The monthly maximum or minimum contribution base is the result of the daily maximum or minimum contribution base multiplied by a factor of 30.

You can define the following rounding methods for the contribution bases and the contribution amounts:

  • No rounding
This is two decimal places.
  • Rounding to whole amounts (for example, dollars)
  • Rounding to one place after the period (for example, cent)

In general, the SAP rounds amounts below 0.005, 0.05, or 0.5 to 0 and amounts above these values to 0.01, 0.1, or 1.

The following constants are used by default:

  • V2ATK (BVA: Daily MCB for Regular Payment)
  • V2MTK (BVA: Daily MCB for Regular Payment)
  • V2SJK (BVA: Annual MCB for Special Payments)
  • V1ATK (ÖGK: Daily MCB for Regular Payment)
  • V1SJK (ÖGK: Annual MCB for Special Payments)

There is a special feature for multiple insurances in accordance with Sec. 19 Para. 8 B-KUVG: If there is more than one health insurance according to B-KUVG and one or more other federal laws, the determinations on the minimum contribution basis are not to be applied when determining the contribution basis.
This regulation is included in the standard system. In the infotype Recurring Payments/Deductions (0014), a switch wage type (SAP model wage type P024) must be entered for multiple insurance. If the technical wage type /M01 derived from this is available in payroll, the SAP system does not apply the minimum contribution base.

Furthermore, the SAP system does not apply the minimum contribution base by default if there is a grace period for the loss of payments (see also Identiy Absences for Special Handling).

  1. Choose the action Check Contribution Bases and Rounding.
Check the constants entered for the maximum and minimum contribution limits, the type of capping, and the rounding.
  1. Check the respective amounts of the maximum and minimum contribution limits in the following actions.
Note whether the constants are valid daily or annually.
  1. Create your own constants if necessary.

In the view V_T5APBS18 (Maximum and Minimum Contribution Bases), an entry must be created for each SI body, contribution group, and contribution amount or contribution for the SI group 2 (Public Sector).

For more information, see Contributions and Contribution Amounts.
