Use

You use this BAdI to handle the promotion condition types that you defined in the Define Promotion Conditions and Condition Types customizing activity. For example, if you created a condition type called "Appraisal" or "Seniority", you would use the BAdI to read employee master data to determine whether the employees meet the defined appraisal and seniority conditions.

Note:Each condition type should have a BAdI implementation within this BAdI definition. Within each BAdI implementation, you capture all of the Condition Type Parameters that were defined in the defined in the customizing activity.

Method Use Case

Method Use Example
CONDITION_RESULTS Checks whether the employee meets the prerequisite promotion conditions. You have a vacant position that you want to fill by promoting an employee from a pool of, say, 10 employees. In order to determine whether the 10 employees are even eligible to be considered for the promotion nomination, you run the Promotion Nomination Report (HRPAEPPROMOSL). When the report runs, it uses method CONDITION_RESULTS to run through the list of employees by checking whether the first of the ten employees meets the prerequisite conditions, for example, education and seniority. When the method has finished checking the first employee, it checks the second employee, then the third employee, and so on, until it has checked all 10 employees.
