You can use the purpose code to provide the bank with particular information about the type of use of payments.

This Customizing activity provides you with an overview of the SEPA purpose codes contained in the standard SAP system. All purpose codes that you want to assign to country groupings to be able to transmit the purpose code to the banks need to be entered here.

Note

The purpose code replaces the text key used up to now in the data medium exchange procedure.

1. Check the purpose codes provided.
2. If required, add further purpose codes.
3. The value SPACE must always exist.
