In this Customizing activity, you can define layouts with which you determine the screen layout for the individual processing of payroll master records. You can create new layouts and change existing layouts.

You can define the following:

  • The number of tab screens
  • The title of the tab screens
  • The field groups and their positions on the tab screen

Note:

The standard system includes a standard layout SAP. If you use this standard layout, you do not need to carry out this Customizing activity. However, if you add add additional infotypes (see Customer Enhacements section below), you have to define the layouts.

The standard layout can neither be changed nor deleted. However, you can copy these layouts and modify them to meet your requirements. To do this, select a standard layout and choose Edit → Copy as....

To define your own layout, proceed as follows:

  1. Click the Customizing activity and enter PY-NS-BE in the Work Areafield.
  2. Choose New Entries. Enter a name and description for your layout. The name has to begin with Y or Z.
  3. Select your layout and, from the navigation area, choose the Tab page titles with a double click.
  4. Choose New Entries. Enter the position and the desired title of the tab screen. By doing so, you also determine the number of tab screens.
  5. Select a tab screen and in the navigation area, choose the Position of the groups on the tab pages with a double-click.
  6. Choose New Entries. Enter the position and select the field groups that you want displayed on the tab screen. Repeat the process for each tab screen.
  7. Save your entries.

Additionally, you have the following options available:

  • You can reverse a change that you have not yet saved. To do so, choose Edit → Change Reverse.
  • You can delete a layout. To do so, choose Edit → Delete.
