PAY_BG_KF_001 - Create Reduction Factors

In this step, you define partial period formulas for wage types that you enter in infotype Basic Pay (0008) or in infotype Recurring Payments/Deductions(0014).
Since wage types from infotype Basic Pay (0008) are created for each partial period, if changes in the Organizational Assignment infotype (0001) or the Basic Pay infotype (0008) are not made at the start of a period, these wage types must be reduced by factors which are created on the basis of the partial periods.
Wage types from infotype Recurring Payments/Deductions (0014), on the other hand, are created once per period only. For this reason, partial period factors can only be used for these wage types that are created on the basis of the entire period.
The standard system contains the calculation of factor /801(Partial period factor 1) which implements following formula:
- The factor is the result of dividing the normative days of partial period – normative days of absences by the normative days of the payroll period.
Check which factors you need and whether you need to change the standard formula(s). If you need to change them, perform the following steps:
- Copy the standard rule BGPF to, for example, ZGPF.
- Change factor calculation in ZGPF to your needs.
- Change schema BGAL (or its copy) to refer to ZGPF (instead of BGPF).
