In this IMG step, you specify a time interval and the corresponding unit to determine the start date of the expired leave period, that is, the period on which leave is paid in double.

Before carrying out this task, you must have already defined:

  • the leave quota on the IMG step: Time management -> Time data recording and management -> Time accounts management via attendance/absence quotas -> Calculation of absence entitlement -> Generation rules for absence quotas -> Determine generation rules for quota selection.

  1. Specify the time interval and the corresponding unit (months or year) for the respective fields: grouping of employee subgroups for the time quota types, grouping of personnel subareas for time quota typeand absence quota type.
  2. Save your entries

Supose the expired leave period starts one year after the start date of the deduction period. There are two possible combinations:

  1. Time interval = 12 and Time unit = months
  2. Time interval = 1 and Time unit = year

Leave quota record:

  • Validity period: 01.02.2001 - 31.01.2002
  • Entitlement: 30 days
  • Deduction period: 01.02.2002 - 31.12.9999

Proportional period   Expired period   Doubled period
01.02.2001 - 31.01.2002   01.02.2002 - 31.01.2003   01.02.2003 - 31.12.9999

Note: The expired period can be larger than one year, depending on the customizing of the time interval and unit.
