PAY_BR_PS_RT009 - Determine time conversion factors for public servants with disability

Depending on their level of disability and on the nature of their job (if it is insalubrious or not), public servants may be able to retire sooner.
For public servants who became disabled after joining the public service, or have changed disability levels, all years of service shall be proportionally adjusted and the respective periods shall be added after conversion, considering the preponderant disability level. The preponderant disability level is the level that the public servant had for the most time while working in the public service.
This is defined by Decree 8145 from December 3, 2013.
In this Customizing activity, you determine the conversion factors to be applied to the years of service, to determine when the public servant becomes eligible for retirement. The conversion factors are used by the Retirement eligibility calculation (RPU_PSPABR_RET_CALC) report.
A male public servant has a job that is not insalubrious, and has the following years of contribution:
- Mild disability: 10 years
- Moderate disability: 12 years
- Severe disability: 2 years completed on the present day
In this scenario, the preponderant disability level is moderate. You run the Retirement eligibility calculation (RPU_PSPABR_RET_CALC) report, and the system converts all service time using the conversion factors that you display in this activity, as follows:
Total contribution time = (10 x 0,88) + 12 + (2 x 1,16) = 23,12
To be able to retire, when the preponderant disability level is moderate, the public servant must have 29 years of contribution. Considering that the current disability level is severe, the system calculates how many years of contribution are still needed. The result is 5,07 years.
