To run withholding tax accounting, you can use a technology that is no longer based on personnel calculation rules, but on payroll functions and ABAP classes.

You can continue to use many of the existing Customizing settings for withholding tax, however. You simply need to check the following Customizing activities that are new or have changed as a result of the changed technology:

• Personnel Administration

• Maintain Withholding Tax Obligation per Canton

• Maintain Withholding Tax Calculation

• Payroll

• Specify Validity for Subapplication QST2

• Check Classes for Payroll Steps

• Check Wage Type Assignment

• Maintain Fee Amount

• Check Process in Payroll

• Evaluations

• Check Form Names
