In this customizing activity you define the cumulation wage types where the system saves the total difference calculated during the reliquidation process up until the period when reliquidation was triggered.

The reliquidation process happens as follows:

  1. You make the necessary settings in the customizing activity Define Reliquidation Frequency for Payment Groups. In that activity, you enter the number of the payroll period in which you want the system to trigger the reliquidation process. You make this entry in the Pay Period field.
  2. You execute the payroll run for the period you have defined in the Pay Period field.
  3. The system performs the reliquidation and saves the calculated differences for each period in the cumulation wage types you define in customizing activity Assign Wage Types for Reliquidation Differences.
  4. The system cumulates the differences so they can be dragged (transferred) to the next period, and saves them in the wage types you define in customizing activity Assign Wage Types for Reliquidation Difference Drags.
  5. In the period in which the reliquidation was triggered, the system transfers the total amount dragged/transferred from previous periods to the wage type you define in this current activity.

This activity is mandatory to enable the reliquidation in your system. You can use wage types delivered by SAP or customer-specific wage types.

  1. Enter the cumulation wage type where you want the system to cumulate the reliquidation differences in the period when reliquidation was triggered.
Note
You must assign this wage type to the forms you use to generate legal reports. Make the necessary settings in Customizing activity Check Assignment of Wage Types to Existing Wage Type Groups by choosing Specific to one Form.
  1. Enter the wage type where the system stores the differences dragged from previous periods. You must have defined this wage type beforehand in customizing activity Assign Wage Types for Reliquidation Difference Drags.
  2. Enter the validity dates.
  3. Save your entries.

When you execute a reliquidation, pension fund contributions will be affected, due to the fact that the calculation basis changes.

In preceding customizing activity Assign Wage Types for Reliquidation Difference Drags you have defined that the amounts of /TD1 wage type (Difference Pension Fund) shall be dragged to the subsequent period by means of /TA1 wage type (Drag Pension Fund).

After that, you execute this current activity and make the following entries:

  • You enter MDR1 (Reliquidation Pension Fund wage type) in the Cumulation WT field.
  • You enter /TA1 (Drag Pension Fundwage type) in the Wage Type field.
  • You enter 01.01.1900 in the Start Date field.
  • You enter 31.12.9999 in the End Date field.

You trigger a reliquidation in period 3. When processing a reliquidation, the system calculates the wage types as follows:

Wage type Period 1 Period 2 Period 3
Difference /TD1 50 30 20
Drag /TA1 50 80 100

In period 3, the system transfers the amount of 100 to wage type MDR1 and deletes wage type /TA1.
