PAY_CL_PENS_008 - Determine List of Pension Contributions for Old Regimen

In this customizing activity you determine which pension contributions belong to the old pension regimen. You do so by determining which subtypes and subplans of the Pensions(3213) infotype belong to that regimen.

The system uses this information to determine which employees contribute to this regimen. According to Chilean legislation, only employees who started working before January 1, 1983, can contribute to it.

You have exceuted the following customizing activities under Payroll Chile -> Social Insurance -> Social Insurance Master Data:

• Define Pensions

• Define Pension Subplans

Maintain feature CLOPR according to the needs of your company.

You define the decision tree of feature CLOPR as follows:

This means that contributions recorded in the Pensions(3213) infotype, subtype 0002, subplan 001 (Ex-Cajas Previsionales, Empart) are only relevant for employees who contribute to the old regimen.

For an example on how the system uses this information, please consider the following situation: An employee's contract is terminated. To apply the correct maximum limit to the severance pay for years of service, the system needs to determine whether the employee contributed to the old or the new pension regimen.

To do so, by means of function module HR_CL_TERM_IAS, the system reads feature CLOPR and performs the following analysis:

• If the terminated employee has any records in the Pensions(3213) infotype, subtype 0002, subplan 001, this means he or she contributed to the old regimen. No maximum limit shall be applied to the severance pay for years of service.

• If the employee does not have any records in the Pensions(3213) infotype, subtype 0002, subplan 001, this means he or she contributed to the new regimen. In that case, the maximum limit for severance pay for years of service is 11 years.
