Compensation arising from an employment or legal and regulatory relationship will be subject to withholding at source for workers whose earnings exceed the limit established by law.

In this Customizing activity you define which wage types cumulate in the value that is compared for this limit.

In Customizing activity Parameters for Withholding Tax at Source (view V_T7CO09), you can find checkbox Compensation Basis: Cumulated - Salary.

If you select this checkbox, the system will add wage type /156 (Wage labor payments) and /155 (NON-Wage labor payments), and will compare the total amount to limit.

If the checkbox is not selected, the system will take the wage of infotype 0008 (Basic Pay) and will compare it to the limit.

If you wish to use wage types different to the described standard parameterization, take the following steps:

  1. Run this activity
  2. In field Country Grouping(MOLGA), enter 38
  3. In field Partial application(P_APPL), enter INDE
  4. Create new entries in the view:
  • ,,In field Cumulation wage type (P_SUML), enter CCIN

  • ,,In field Wage type (LGART), enter the wage types that you wish to cumulate

The system cumulates the wage types defined in this activity (view V_T596J) and compares the total value to the exempt compensation limit.

If entries are created in this activity, the system does not take into account checkbox Compensation basis: Cumulated - Wage of view V_T7CO09.
