PAY_CO_SS_003 - Define ARL limit when there are absences

In this Customizing activity you define the ARL limit when absences exist.

Run this activity and define the CARLP configuration setting in the view if the customer value table for configuration options (V_T5F99K2).

The following values are available:

• 1 - Use fixed limit in case of absences (standard behavior)

• 2 -Limit proportional to worked days

If you want to calculate the ARL proportional to the worked days, define value 2.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: there is no final definition on how to carry out this calculation. For more information, check SAP note 2449306, point 6.

Example of ARL calculation:

• Scenario

• Employee’s salary: 27,000,000 COP

• Value of absence 0200 (General Outpatient Incapacity) (10 days): 9,000,000 COP

• ARL maximum limit: 18,442,925 COP

• Calculation

• Field BASE_ARL in table COABS will contain: 18,442,925 / 30 * 10 = 6,147,642 (proportional limit to the absences)

• ARL basis if the value of the CARLP configuration setting contains 1: 18,442,925 (fixed limit)

• ARL basis if the value of the CARLP configuration setting contains 2: 18,442,925 - 6,147,642 = 12,295,283 (only proportional to the worked days because the limit proportional to the absences is deducted)
