Data is transferred by email in the process description for communication between employees and health insurance funds.
If you want to send emails from SAP system applications to external partners, you must configure the Internet Mail Gateway.
The Internet Mail Gateway is part of the SAP standard system.
You make the necessary Customizing settings in the Basis Implementation Guide.
