To use the BC, you have to create RFC destinations.

Creating an RFC Destination to the BC

Data is exchanged between the SAP system and the Business Connector (BC) using an RFC connection (connection type T, TCP/IP). You can create this connection using transaction SM59 (Display and Maintain RFC Destinations):

Enter the RFC destination HR_DE_ZFA (or the value you maintained in the constant RFCMQ). The RFC destination is used to call the function modules.

Select the connection type T (Start external program using TCP/IP).

Choose the activation type Registered Server Program. If you use the Business Connectors, enter program ID ZFA_BC_<system name>_<client>. The program ID is used again later on the BC side. On the Business Connector, the program ID is used for the definition of the "listeners" (program ID).

Example program IDs:

BC: ,,ZFA_BC_<System name>_<Client> => ZFA_BC_PRO_010

The connection cannot be tested until the listener has been set up and activated on the Business Connector.

Note for the Business Connector:

Unicode:

Business Connector: In a Unicode system, select the Unicode checkbox under Special Options. On the BC, the listener must also be identified as a Unicode listener.

If you use multiple servers for your system, you can define one of these servers as a gateway, and you then only need to maintain this one connection in the BC. As the Gateway Host enter the server, and under Gateway Service, enter a system number in the format sapgw<System number>.

Example:

Gateway-Host: LS0096

Gateway-Service: sapgw05
