In this Customizing activity you assign the benefits groups.
The salary/wage or benefits group is entered in fields Verdienstgruppe, NumVerdienstRegelung, and Leistungsgruppe.

The following applies:

  1. In the case of remuneration according to a collective agreement or a company agreement, the report enters the salary/wage group in field Verdienstgruppe and the sequence number in field NumVerdienstRegelung (reporting company data).
  2. In the case of a non-collective agreement, the report enters the benefits group in field Benefits Group.

You use the feature Assignment of Numbers to Collective Agreements for Survey of Earnings (DGLTR) in the Customizing activity Assign Collective Agreement Numbers to decide whether the agreement is a free agreement.

In case 1, the pay scale group field from the table Work Center/Basic Pay is printed from the payroll results (WPBP-TRFGR). In this case, you do not need to do anything else in this Customizing activity.

In case 2, the benefits group must be determined. The benefits group is assigned in this Customizing activity using the pay scale classification:

  • Pay scale type
  • PS Area
  • Pay scale indicator
  • Pay scale group
  • Pay scale level

pay scale level You have free agreements in your company and have maintained feature DGLTR in the Customizing activity Assign Collective Agreement Numbers. In doing so, you have specified the areas in which a free agreement applies.

Assign the appropriate benefits groups to your pay scale classifications.

Note the questionnaire explanations for assigning employees to benefits groups 1 to 5. The assignment does not correspond to the assignment to the old benefits groups 1 to 6 that had to be made for the 2001 structure survey of salaries and wages.

The system supports a generic assignment for the pay scale area and the pay scale level. Enter '--' as a generic specification.

You can also use the Statistics (IT0033) infotype to make an individual assignment to the benefits group.
