PAY_DE_ELENA_010 - Assign Absences to ELENA Indicator
General Data in Customer Master rdisp/max_wprun_time - Maximum work process run timeThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Use this Customizing activity to assign employee absences to the ELENA indicator.
In the Absences (DBFZ) data module, (unpaid) absences for the employee must be reported. For this, the absence must be assigned to the corresponding ELENA indicator. For absences consisting of a paid and an unpaid part and that have the ELENA indicator 01, 02, or 04, the report determines the point in time when the absence becomes unpaid. For absences with other ELENA indicators, the calculation does not have to be triggered because the absences are completely unpaid.
The absence type 11 (Unpaid Absence Days) also has to be reported for periods of absences outside continued pay, for which no benefits are paid. This means that several different absence periods are reported for an absence. For absences with the ELENA indicator 01, 02, or 04, the report determines these periods automatically and reported them using the absence type 11 (Unpaid Absence Days).
Note the assignment of the corresponding absences in the sample Customizing. The sample Customizing contains no absences for pension sick pay, and the setting of compensation benefits caused by a full pension due to a reduction in earning capacity. For this reason, there is no assignment to the corresponding ELENA indicator in the sample Customizing.
Assign your absences the appropriate ELENA indicator. The following ELENA indicators can be assigned:
01 | Sick pay/per diem benefit/RHC sick pay/transitional pay/injury pay |
02 | Sick/injury pay in case of care for a sick child |
03 | Maternity protection (maternity acc. to § 3 para. 2 MuschG and § 6 para. 1 MuschG) |
04 | Pension sick pay |
06 | Care leave (§ 2 or 3 para. 1 PflegeZG) |
07 | Parental leave |
08 | Setting compensation benefit due to full reduced earnings capacity pension |
09 | Military service/eligibility exercise/civil service/military exercise |
10 | Unpaid leave |
11 | Unpaid absence (such as unexcused absence, idling, weekend or public holiday without remuneration, caring for a sick child without payment of sick or injury pay, short-term inability to work due to care, strike, lock-out) |
13 | Rejection |
16 | Irrevocable release from work without continuation of remuneration |
If an employee is absent, the system determines whether the absence is allocated to an ELENA indicator. Absences can only be reported if they are assigned an ELENA indicator.
If you have not set up specific absences on your system (for example, pension sick pay (04)) and can therefore not assign them, you cannot and need not set an indicator for ELENA.
