You can use this Business Add-In (BAdI) to determine whether the employee is a public sector employee, a judge, or a soldier. This information has to be reported in the multifunctional earnings data record (MVDS) during the ELENA procedure. Depending on this indicator, specific data in the notification, for example, the employee group key, is checked differently than for employees liable to insurance contributions.

The entries in the IST_BEAMTER method are the WPBP record that is valid at the end of the reporting period, the current Organizational Assignment (0001) infotype record, the currently valid Social Insurance (0013) infotype, and the reporting period of the current notification.

The infotype records are always filled. If no current payroll result is available, an initial WPBP record is transmitted. This occurs, for example, when a notification for allocating a procedure number is created. All data is read from the master data since the creation of notifications for the allocation of process numbers can be performed independently of the payroll.

The standard implementation of the BAdIs either reads the payroll type from the entries in the WPBP table or from the Organizational Assignment (0001) infotype and table T503. If payroll type 4 applies to the personnel area or personnel subarea to which the employee is assigned, the EV_BEAMTER variable is returned with the value True (X).

Use the standard implementation or create and activate your own implementation.

For information about the implementation of BAdIs in the context of the Enhancement Concept, see SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under BAdIs - Embedding in the Enhancement Framework.
