PAY_DE_PS_KG03 - Set Up Automatic Default Settings

In this step, you maintain feature KG118 (Automatic Defaults for Child Allowance Infotype (0118)).

With this feature, you activate and control the automatic default values used when a data record is created for the Child Allowance infotype. The automatic default functions apply to the following:

• If a child is younger than 18 years old on the validity start date of the data record, the system proposes the following values:

• Validity period of data record

• Entitlement to child allowance

• Reason for entitlement

• If the child is over 18 years of age, the system determines the end date from the start date of the data record plus a defined number of months from feature KG118.

An employee had a child on March 10, 2000. The administrator has already created the child in the Family/Related Person infotype (0021) and now creates a data record in the Child Allowance infotype (0118). The automatic default functions enter the following values:

• Start date: As of March 01,2018

• End date: As of March 31,2036

• Entitlement: Child for whom allowance is paid

• Reason: until 18 years old

The automatic defaults are active in the SAP standard system.
