Further settings are required for storing CSV files on the application server:

Logical directory

In the Customizing activity Cross-Client Maintenance of File Names and Paths, assign the logical file path HR_DE_Z4_PATH a platform-dependent physical path on the application server where the Z4 files are stored. The physical path name must contain the parameter <filename> that is filled dynamically in the report. The path name can also contain other reserved words. For more information, see the documentation for the physical path.

Example
  • Logical file path: HR_DE_Z4_PATH

  • Assigned physical path for the syntax group UNIX: /tmp/z4/<filename>.csv

  • In the report, the file name 201311_DE01_1234567_201311 (payroll period + company code + company number + reporting period) is determined.

  • The complete file path is then /tmp/z4/201311_DE01_1234567_201311.csv

Logical file name for checking

The system can also check the complete physical file path determined in the report against the logical file name HR_DE_DIR_Z4. For more information on this check, see the SAP Security Guide.
