In the Social Security contribution, retroactive changes in TD situations (temporary disability) can generate sign differences in different epigraphs bases for an employee. In this case, the additional declaration must be files. The can be positive or negative.

In this Customizing activity you determine how the system behaves in respect to the compensation of additional positive and negative declarations.

Change the settings of situation Additional compensation (SCOMP) according to your needs.

• 00: Base compensation

In this option, the system compensates the negative bases with the positive. This behavior avoids the generation of a positive additional declaration and a negative one for the employee in question. These situations take place when the duration of the leaves are changed retroactively due to work disease or accident. This is SAP’s standard option.

• 01: No base compensation

In this option, the system does not compensate the bases. It includes the employee in the negative declaration and in the positive one for the period. This situation occurs when a sick leave is modified retroactively and is due to the fact that different bases of epigraphs are not compensated.
