SAP E-Book

The payroll calculates the number of hours worked in part-time contracts using decimals. Nevertheless, the FAN file only accepts the number of hours worked without decimals, which has an effect on the contribution values in cases of inconsistencies between the number of hours in the payroll and in the FAN file.

In this Customizing activity, you specify the behavior of the system in respect to the calculation of the hours worked in part-time contracts.

Change the setting of situation Part-time hours decimals (SDHTP) according to the needs of your company.

  • Option 0: calculate with decimals
The payroll calculates the number of hours worked in part-time contracts using decimals. Wage type Hours worked (Part-time) is generated. /3CS).
  • Option 1: calculate without decimals
The payroll calculates the number of hours worked in part-time contracts without decimals and rounding upwards. Wage type Hours worked without decimals (/3CR) is generated.
Note
If you choose option 1 and run the retroactive accounting in the payroll using a start date higher than the start date of option 1, problems could occur in report Contribution models for Social Insurance (RPCTC0E0). If this happens, adjust the FAN files using report FAN file management (RPCFANE0).

SAP recommends to change the value of the SDHTP situation before generating the actual payroll result.

Choose the appropriate option for your company. If no option is set, the system will use option 0, which is the SAP standard.

The employee with a part-time contract has worked 63.80 hours.

  • Payroll with option 0: calculate with decimals
/3CS = 63.40 hours
  • Payroll with option 1: calculate without decimals
/3CS = 63.40 hours
/3CR = 64.00 hours
