Add-In: Penal Interest Amount

This Business Add-In (Add-In) is used in the Loans component.

This Add-In enables you to calculate the penal interest amount due to foreclosure of a loan. The SAP system provides you with a method to calculate this amount. But you can override this method by using the Add-In.

You can use the following parameters to calculate the penal interest amount due to foreclosure of a loan:

  • Special Repayment Amount entered in the Loans Infotype (0045)
  • All records of Loans Infotype (0045)
  • Records of Loan Payments Infotype (0078) valid for the Period and Loan Type entered in the selection screen of the Batch Program for Penal Interest (Loans) Report (HINILON0)
  • You should carry out this step if both of the following conditions apply:
  • The SAP standard processes do not suit your needs

  • You are a competent ABAP/4 programmer

  • If you want to capture the Reason for foreclosure, you must create a new field in the CI_P0078 Customer Include.

In the standard system, the Business Add-In is not activated.

After calling up the IMG activity, a dialog box appears, in which the existing implementations are displayed. Choose Change, and proceed as follows:

  1. From the tab index, choose Interface.
The Name of implemented class field is already filled on the tab page, as a class name was automatically assigned to the implementation when you named it.
  1. Save your entries, and assign the implementation to a development class.
  2. Place the cursor on the HR_IN_PENAL_INTEREST method, and double-click to enter method processing.
  3. Enter the coding for the implementation between the statements method IF_EX_HR_IN_PENAL_INTEREST~GET_PENAL_INTEREST and endmethod.
  4. Save and implement your coding. Return to the Edit Implementation screen.
  5. Save the entries on the Edit Implementation screen.
Note: You can also change an implementation, and then activate it at a later time. In such a case, end the processing stage at this point.
  1. Choose Activate
The coding you stored in the method will be run when the application program is executed.
